Welcome Sugar

This little girl has had a very bad life. She and a bulldog were turned into our vet clinic. The person that turned them in said they were going to be killed because they were tired of the medical issues.

Sugar, between 5 & 8 yrs old, had a hematoma in her ear, unbelievable skin problems, constant itching and scratching herself bloody. One of her eyes had no tear production at all and was so dry that dirt and gunk was stuck right to it. She has had multiple litters, one after the other, the vet that spayed her said she had so much scar tissue in her. Her nipples are huge and her tummy is rough and very bumpy. Our vet said her tummy got like that from always being in a wet area and not drying out.

We got her on the 27th of September and she was bathed and spayed the next day. She went back to the Vet yesterday and they said she looked SO much better then the first time she was there.

This very precious little girl will need months of rehab and will be going to the eye specialist November 26 to see exactly what is going on with her eye and if we can do more then we are for it. Once she has more weight on her we will also be giving her a dental. Her breath is not too bad but it is obvious she needs some dental work.

Stay tuned for updates on her progress and if you can, please sponsor her - she will appreciate it; they always seem to know.
